so this is my last blog entry since i am leaving for home tomorrow morning. i dont wanna leave quite yet, i really like it out here, but on the other hand the humidity is killing me. so this past thursday we had school off (study day) so i went to nara and kyoto with 2 friends. at kyoto we saw the golden temple (kinkakuji). it was really cool to see and the setting is quite beautiful. after that we headed to nara, however we didnt transfer trains (usually they conductors tell you when a switch is coming) so we ended up 30 min past our stop and half way to nagoya. so we turned around and finally got to nara where we met up with one of my friends friends who showed us to some deer (shika). however it was so late so we were unable to feed them since the senbei stands were all closed by that time...then friday i took the final test which was kinda hard, but no matter i still passed. right after the test we had to do an interview in pairs with a sensei who asked us questions about our experience on the program. i got paired with one of the people i crack a lot of jokes with. so the first question the sensei asked us was, what is your favorite japanese phrase. so as a note most of the class actually has a phrase we use, extremely incorrectly. this phrase is "いい天気ですね" which means "its good weather right now yah?" (its a really big inside joke to A class. we use it to describe anything good now, such as food). so we got to use that phrase in the interview, then after that whenever the sensei would ask a question we would make a funny answer or remark, so a lot of the interview was spent laughing. after that we had the graduation ceremony (i have a japanese diploma now!) then to end things with a bang, 30 of us (some of the students in the program and some of the konan students) went to osaka and went clubbing for the whole night. i am pretty sad that is the last day i am here. in just a bit i will be going to a festival, then dinner with the entire host family, then thats it....i wish i was here for the yr program....
